In 1954 Queen Elizabeth II became the first reigning monarch to tour Australia. The Queen arrived in Australia in Sydney on 3 February and departed the country from Fremantle on 1 April.

Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee
The Diamond Jubliee of Queen Elizabeth II is a forthcoming international celebration in 2012 celebrating the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne. Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne on the 6th of February, 1950 and her coronation took place on the 2nd of June, 1953 in Westminster Abbey. Her Majesty was the thirty-ninth sovereign to be crowned at Westminster Abbey.

The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II is sculpted in the finest detail in England by Tim Potts. It is approximately 20 cm / 7.87 in in height and is mounted on a 1 cm / .39 in high plinth. The figure is produced in fine china and carefully hand painted and accented with 20 ct. gold. Each comes with a numbered certificate and is packed in a silk lined gift box.
